We are calling for all potential Farmers, Artisans, Vendors and interested parties to meet at the Town Office, on Monday evening, April 30th, 6:00p.m.  Or, if you can’t attend in the evening, please come on the following Tuesday morning, May 1st, 8:30a.m.

A Farmer’s Market is a State regulated “business”, and must have a governing body of at least 3 people. Also, a list of participating vendors is required before we can file as an Incorporated, Non-profit business, and then file for a Tax Identification Number.

Site details and Liability Insurance coverage are being worked out – but, WE Need You!

Yearly membership fees, ($15), pay for the market’s insurance.

Vendor fees,  average $10-15, determined by the Board), pays for the market’s operating fees.

We’re planning on market day being Wednesdays (the least amount of competition) starting in June, for 12-15 weeks.

Remember- if you didn’t grow it, bake it, or Hand Make It – Don’t bring it to Market!

The 3rd Annual Family Campfire Sing-a-Long & S’more Party will be held Tuesday, June 19th, at the Pittsford Recreation Area Pavilion Building, 6:45-8:00p.m.

This kicks off 5 weeks of Summer Group Music Lessons, including:

Guitar & Ukulele Band (6yrs. on up),  Singing & Rhythm Band (4 yrs. on up), and various levels of Preschool Music Groups (infant to 3 yrs.).

The number of groups depends upon how many students register.

The more students – the cheaper the rates!

Time to shake off the winter blues, and come on out for Town Meeting! This Monday, 3/5, 6:30p.m., at the Lothrop School Gym. The PBCG is formally proposing that a registered “Farmer’s Market” be pursued, for Pittsford Village.

The PBCG is keenly aware of the growing number of diversified farms, home crafters and artisan business people in our community, and area. We have done much research, met with our Town Manager, and are now gathering the paperwork. Anyone, who is interested in the planning of, and participation in a Farmer’s Market – please contact me, Kelley Lyon, ASAP!, at either 483-2218 or vtmusictherapy@comcast.net.

Also, don’t forget to Vote on Tuesday, 3/6/ 7a.m.-7p.m., at the Town office - AND be sure to attend a special Select Board meeting with the Agency of Transportation presenting, a State Park & Ride project – Wednesday, March 7th, Lothrop School Library, 6:30p.m.
